Kathleen has covered many national news stories for such publications as The Boston Globe, where she worked as a correspondent based in Los Angeles. She’s contributed to the Los Angeles Times and still writes for The New York Times.

As a newspaper woman, Kathleen has won half a dozen awards from the Society of Professional Journalists/Sigma Delta Chi, including a first-place honor for investigative journalism and another first-place prize for feature writing.
